ROSA President invited at the "Space Day" conference organised during the Farnborough Air Show, 14-20 July 2014

On 15 July 2014, the President of the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA), Dr. Phys. Marius-Ioan Piso, is invited at the "Space Day" Conference, which will take place during the Farnborough International Airshow — FIA, the most prestigious event in the field.

 Recognised as a platform for presenting innovations in this domain, the Farnborough International Airshow provides first class opportunities for the global aerospace industry, the exhibition and air show being known as the largest in the world. The event takes place from 14 to 20 July 2014.

The "Space Day" Conference is one of the most popular activities in the program, where representatives from government and industry and heads of space agencies will participate.

Along with the space dedicated day, between July 14 to 17 seminars on space will take place, whose purpose is to present the benefits of space and satellite applications for aviation, security and defense, both in the civil and military areas.

The Farnborough Airshow is organised every two years by Farnborough International Ltd. with the support of the Society of British Aerospace Companies — SBAC at Farnborough airfield, in an indoor and outdoor ​​8500 square meters area, structured in four halls and an international area dedicated to international chambers of commerce and various associations.

The importance of this year's rally was anticipated since May, when the organiser announced a record number of applications for exhibitions at the fair, both for static aircraft park and flying, at that time more than 70 aircraft in the first category and 23 in the second already being confirmed.
