Contest: Win a one-on-one video call with Dumitru Prunariu

on 07 May 2020

The Moon Village Association (MVA), that recently signed a partnership with the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA), is organizing a contest where the price consists of a 30-min one-to-one video call with Dumitru Prunariu, the first Romanian cosmonaut and Honorary President of ROSA.

To have a chance to win, participants must complete a short MVA survey.

Two winners will be chosen from the entries that must be submitted by 15 May.

In February 2020, the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Moon Village Association (MVA), a non-governmental organisation based in Vienna. Having a common purpose of promoting space activities and science public outreach and education, the parties aim to strengthen the space sector's workforce through career development, education and industry outreach, and gender equity.

The Moon Village Association comprises approximately 220 members from more than 39 countries and 25 Institutional members around the globe, representing a diverse array of technical, scientific, cultural and interdisciplinary fields. Its goal is the creation of a permanent global informal forum for stakeholders like governments, industry, academia and the public.

Born on 27 September 1952 in Brasov, Dumitru Dorin Prunariu became on 14 May 1981 the first and only Romanian who has ever flown in space.
