The Romanian Space Agency (ROSA), in its capacity as national coordinator, invites you to take part at the 2020 edition of World Space Week (WSW), the largest public event in the world dedicated to the celebration of space, which takes place each year, between 4-10 October. Romanian organisations and institutions can participate at the event by organising educational and other activities meant to promote the benefits of space, all centred around this year’s theme: Satellites Improve Life.
On Friday, 24 April 2020, from 3:00 pm, the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) invites you to take part in an online meeting with Radu Mihalache, coordinator of the Satellites and Space Equipment Research and Development Department from the National Research and Development Institute for Gas Turbines COMOTI, Bucharest. Radu Mihalache will talk about „How to safely bring back soil samples from Phobos”.
On Friday, 17 April 2020, from 3:00 pm, the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA) invites you to take part in an online meeting with Ana-Maria Neculăescu, scientific researcher at the National Institute of Aerospace Research “Elie Carafoli" - INCAS. The title of the event is "What is the current situation of space launchers in the world?" The event is organised by ESERO, a project of the European Space Agency (ESA) in collaboration with ROSA, and can be followed live on the ESERO Romania Facebook page.
The European Space Agency kicks off, in Romania, a series of local workshops dedicated to the launch of the James Webb Space Telescope — JWST. The event will take place at the Institute of Space Sciences, between 17 and 18 February 2020. Participation is free, but registration is required.
The Romanian pioneer of the International Astronomical Union (IAU), Nicolae Donici, will be honoured in Paris, during a conference organized by the Embassy of Romania in France and the UAI.
