The Copernicus conference "Space for a Safe Society and Sustainable Growth", 4-5 June 2019

The eight edition of the Copernicus conference will take place on 4 and 5 June 2019, at the Central University Library of Bucharest. This year’s edition is focused on "Space for a Safe Society and Sustainable Growth".

The conference is organised by the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA), the European Space Agency (ESA) the European Commission and Eurisy, under the auspices of the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and the Romanian Ministry of Research and Innovation.

While addressing the European space programmes, the conference will focus on the benefits brought by the Earth Observation, navigation and satellite communication technologies for the safety and security of the citizens, as well as for the sustainable growth of society.

The conference is addressed at experts and decision makers from the public and private sectors. The registration for the conference opens on 2 May 2019 and the deadline for applying is 1 June 2019. The Copernicus conference series is the key annual event to provide Eastern European users, service providers and citizens with information about Copernicus data exploitation, satellite telecommunications and navigation technologies and the opportunities they create for new applications and business.
